Millésime 2018: Sud de France Languedoc Roussillon Top 100 2022
Millésime 2018: 17.5 - Jancis Robinson "(...) a stunning wine. Riesling-like, Grosses Gewächs style, in its aciculate power and structural precision. The acidity is piercing and yet the wine carries the savoury richness and broad canvas of Grenache Gris like a flag flying high. It's triumphant, dramatic, takes a slice of your heart. Grapefruit and rock-pool brine, smoky quince and the glitter of pyrite dust. A wine with the impact of the crash of wave against a white-stone cliff, stinging salt and the taste of sand and old-as-time ammonites gouged out of chalk. But the finish is soft as a whisper, fine as cashmere, silver-threaded. Quite remarkable. A wine to take very seriously." (TC)
Millésime 2018: Decanter "100% Grenache Gris from more clay-based soils nearer the sea -is a delight : smoky, flinty, almost oily aromas, with a limey, honeyed, fennel seed complexity to the palate. Really exciting stuff, and worth keeping an eye on." (NE)

Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow colour with silvery nuances, the nose offers a beautiful aromatic intensity around elegant fruity notes, white fruits, citrus peel, fresh floral touches and a slightly smoky mineral hint. The mouth is pleasant and pure, marked by a superb tension which brings freshness, saline touches and ample flavours brought by a magnificent aging on lees which prolong the persistence with harmony and elegance.  Altogether a beautifully well-balanced wine leaving you with a compelling sensation of freshness.
