The story goes...

“La Minuette” in its new bottle shows great freshness and subtle notes of grapefruit. This blended rosé comes from the limestone terroir of La Livinière. Its pale colour and floral bouquet represent the “Minuette” variety of rose planted in Kenya by Tim Ford in 1982, during his 25 years of rose production in Africa. A nod to both the past and the future, “La Minuette” exemplifies estate values, where wines are rooted in tradition and made in the spirit of today.

Decanter - 03 Feb 2021. "Fresh, floral and bursting with sweet strawberry touches. This has aromas of bright summer fruits on the nose followed by raspberry, strawberry, grapefruit and lime zest on the palate underpinned by subtle touches of stony minerality." (GH)
16.5/20 - Jancis Robinson - 28 June 2022 "(...) Once again, Gayda has made a rosé that walks a high-wire act between flavour and acidity that few achieve. It has a summer-dawn rose-garden perfume, petals drenched with dew, and the smell of wet grass pressed under bare feet. It tastes of salted doughnut peaches, white-peach skin, ground cumin, blood orange, rose hips and forest floor. But it's the acidity that I love: the way it moves, its 3-D linearity and curves, its slow wide wave through the palate but also its pixellated complexity – not something I often come across in rosé. Like a Matlab 3-D plot! There is also an imperceptible grip in the wine, teasing the finish back towards the start.(...)" (TC)
89 pts - Wine spectator - Nov. 2019 - "An open-knit rosé, offering lots of freshness to the melon and white raspberry flavors that are nicely spiced and accented by floral, salty mineral and white peach details. Mouthwatering finish. Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache (...) (GS)

Tasting notes

Bright and luminous pale pink colour with a very Provençal style. The nose is fine and elegant, expressing delicate notes of almond blossom and red fruits with hints of raspberry and redcurrant. The palate is crisp, with aromas of lime zest, Corsican clementine and a touch of pink grapefruit. There are also delicate aromas of white flowers. A surprisingly long finish awaits.
