VINCENT CHANSAULT

WINEMAKER

Born in 1980, Vincent Chansault is the youthful face of Gayda. Graduating from the school of Viticulture and Oenology in Cognac, he went on to gain valuable experience in the Loire Valley, the Rhone and the Languedoc. Not long into his career he explored the wineries of South Africa where he worked for a number of years in the Stellenbosch area, notably the famous Boekenhoutskloof in Franschhoek. It was during this time in South Africa that he met Tim Ford, Anthony Record and Marc Kent.

TIM FORD

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Born in 1960 in England. His father, who owned a small vineyard in the South East of England introduced Tim at an early age to the world of wine. After spending more than 20 years of his life in various African countries where he had a successful horticultural business, he returned to England in 2002. Here he met Anthony Record and together they launched the concept of Domaine Gayda in France. His wife Barbara was thrilled to be back in her country of birth.

DAVID CHARDRON

COMMERCIAL MANAGER

A native of Saumur in the Loire Valley, David studied in the Charente at the same school of Viticulture and Oenology as our winemaker Vincent. Upon graduation he pursued his interest in viticulture and vinification in Burgundy, the Languedoc and abroad. Building on significant work experience with top wine estates, he went back to further his studies and specialise in Commerce. With diploma newly in hand, he joined the team at Domaine Gayda as Commercial Development Manager..

ANTHONY RECORD MBE

Born in 1939 in Cape Town, South Africa and is the chairman of the estate. His entrepreneurial professional life is rich and varied. “Bon Vivant” and highly experienced, he has brought the team together and guides Gayda in its pursuit for excellence.

MARC KENT

Marc has been an inspiration to Gayda since we first met him in 2003. Boss of the iconic South African winery, Boekenhoutskloof, in the Cape of Good Hope, Marc helps out where ever he can with advice and motivation. His blending skills will be seen in our Chemin de Moscou that he has taken to heart!  Again voted “South African Winemaker of the Year 2019” an accolade he seems to receive on a regular basis. We are indeed lucky to have Marc on the Gayda team helping us to keep an open mind and a fanatical approach to quality.
