The diversity of terroirs at Domaine Gayda
At Domaine Gayda, located near Carcassonne, we have the privilege of cultivating our vineyards in the heart of Languedoc and Roussillon, regions renowned for the richness and diversity of their terroirs. Each parcel of our vineyards benefits from unique conditions, influenced by the variety of soils and climates, giving our wines an exceptional uniqueness.
Our vineyards extend over a wide range of terroirs, from sandstone and limestone to granite and schist soils. This geological diversity, combined with our expertise in plot selection, enables us to produce exceptional wines that are an authentic reflection of our wonderful region.
Whether on the home farm, the heights of La Livinière, the slopes of Col de la Dona, or the distinctive terroirs of Latour de France, every vine, every cluster, bears the imprint of its terroir. The grape varieties we grow, such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Macabeu, Cabernet Franc and many others, are carefully chosen to make the most of these unique soils.
Our commitment to quality and sustainability guides every stage of our viticulture. We believe that preserving biodiversity and respecting natural cycles are essential to producing exceptional wines. Discover with us the treasures of our vineyards and let yourself be carried away by the richness and diversity of our terroirs.
