Domaine Gayda had already hit very hard in 2015 with its cuvée“Le chemin de Moscou“, which we liked so much that we made it our Wine of the Month in January 2018. It was an opportunity to present this atypical estate, intended as a kind of laboratory for wine excellence.
The 2020 vintage takes a “different path”, as its name suggests in Catalan. A 100% Grenache noir on a gneiss terroir in the commune of Cassagnes. This wine is typical of Roussillon wines when they are well matured: dark color, nose of fresh fruit – raspberry, black cherry, on the palate, lightness, freshness, smokiness, supple tannins, good length. A wine that goes well with regional dishes, cassoulet, févolade (fresh bean stew) or game.
Gayda, a food and wine connoisseur, owns his own restaurant. “
