We called it “Figure Libre” because we have chosen the freedom of creation and expression, combining the subtleness of the Loire with the bold character of the Languedoc. Away from the rigours of the appellation, in 2004 we planted the grape varieties which we felt would be the best suited, those most able to reveal the expression and the qualities of our Brugairolles sandstone terroir. Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc, rarely grown in the region, originate from the Loire Valley, home of Winemaker Vincent Chansault.

Tasting notes
A brilliant golden-yellow color, enhanced by luminous silver highlights that accentuate its brilliance. The nose opens with a refined aroma of freshly baked golden brioche and candied fruit. This gives way to fresher, more vibrant notes of mango, rhubarb, and fresh quince. With aeration, the bouquet gains even more elegance with delicate notes of white flowers and a touch of citrus zest that adds depth and freshness. On the palate, the attack is lively and crisp, driven by flavors of citrus and fresh pineapple. The tension carries through the entire tasting with great energy and balance. The finish, long and persistent, lingers with an elegant minerality and a few particularly mouth-watering fresh bitter notes, reinforcing the sensation of freshness and the precision of this crisp vintage.
