The story goes...

The Flying Solo range flies in the face of convention, shunning international varieties in favour of the typical Mediterranean Grenache grape which forms its backbone, blended with Syrah, Viognier or Cinsault. It celebrates the intrepid ‘Aéropostale’ pilots who risked life and limb to ensure postal deliveries in the 1920s.

Tasting notes

Violet colour with purple reflections. The nose is a medley of red fruits: Mara des Bois strawberries, raspberries, evolving towards fresh and vegetal notes. The palate is rich and aromatic, developing aromas of sweet spices, liquorice stick, but also strawberry, Amarena cherry, and violet. The finish reveals aromas of tonka and roasted cocoa bean. The palate has soft tannins, structuring the wine and offering it a potential of 2 to 3 years, that will evolve on more jammy notes.
