Altre Cami … another path … another vision. This project was born of the desire to elevate our beautiful vineyards of the Roussillon and to celebrate the Catalan heritage of the terroirs.

Everything about this wine has a quiet (almost humble) glow of loveliness about it, including the sweet, cinnamon-spiced strawberry fruit, but what I most love is the texture, followed by the freshness – so distinctive that before I looked up the winemaking notes, I jotted down, ‘was this made in eggs or concrete?’. If you’ve ever worked at a potter’s wheel and felt the cool slick of clay curving in your hands, leaned so close to it that you’re almost drinking in the smell, you’ll know what I mean when I describe the texture as fine, fine wet clay. Tasting notes

Intense with a luminous ruby colour and garnet nuances, the nose reveals elegant notes of ripe black fruits and fresh red fruits, notes of black cherries and raspberry.  Complex spicy notes and fine mineral smoky touches, a light and elegant infusion at low temperature. The palate is soft and light, the fruity and gourmet flavours dominate. Mineral and smoky touches bring freshness and highlight beautiful tender and perfectly integrated tannins. The result is balanced with a persistent long finish.

Vinification process

De-stemmed harvest - Natural vinification without the addition of sulphur - Very light extraction - Infusion, at low temperature - 15 days maceration before pressing - Only the free-run juice is kept.

Ageing

Aged in concrete ovoid tanks for 9 months.
