The story goes...

Inspired by The Passenger, the classic pop-rock anthem by Iggy Pop, its inherently restless character is expressed through a red and a white wine that are made from a different vineyard, terroir and grape variety each year, underscoring its ephemeral nature.
This ‘rolling stone’ concept is clearly mirrored in the labelling of En Passant with constantly changing imagery designed as a storyboard, through the vintages.

Jancis Robinson (TC), February 2022, En Passant Blanc 2020 : 16.5/20 “(…) Apricots and white orchard blossoms and that first sharp-green baby sorrel leaf – this wine tastes like a gulp of cold spring air complete with blue sky and high, white, scudding clouds. (…). Lemony bite and a sorbet-crunch of white grapefruit. Makes me want to go outside and breathe deeply with my arms flung wide”.
Decanter, 3 Feb. 2021 : 90 pts “A clean, fresh and lively white filled with plenty of ripe stone fruit flavours of apricot and peach combine with citrus touches and a crisp apple bite alongside hints of butter pastry and honey. This is enjoyable and good value.”
The Buyer (DK) February 2021, En Passant Blanc 2019 “In contrast to the varietal wines, the ‘En Passant’ range is intended to vary, by variety and blend, each year, with the colourful artwork telling the story of each vintage. (...) it’s light and refreshing, with apple blossom, mountain honey, ripe pear and a dollop of peach melba on the finish.”

Tasting notes

An expressive nose with exotic aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and eucalyptus. A mouthfeel full of finesse supported by a beautiful tension, a good 'length' allowing the minerality to express itself.
